3D Studio Max Empty 3D Studio Max

    Post by stephanie2171 Wed Apr 09, 2008 12:23 am

3D is so complicated.. I'm so confusing.. Looking at all the works the past students did, I'm so amazed how they do it. DO anyone have sample or tutorial where I can learn more on 3DS max?

    wew...=.=""
i do have some video tutorials here...u can take it if u wan..
yeah, 3D is very complicated..u need to do lot of surfing and searching as there is alot of techniques..too MANY if i may say..we have lofting, NURBS, spline, vertices, soft selection, and many many more.
for the assignment itself, the most difficult and complicated part was material!!
my GOD...it takes lot of time..but for my assignment, thanksfully i do not need to spend too much time as it only contains some materials(3 or 4).
modelling is very tough as well..the more the complexity, the more time u will need to spend to model it..hahahaha..

    so, how is ur progress?

N/P : try all the labs, they really help alot..

depends on wad pictures u wan for ur materials?it depends on the shape of ur model right?

for this 3D assignment, we have to use the photos and material taken by ourself right?or we construct ourself in the 3D Max itself?

For those of you taking 3d subject,
why don't you start a thread and post whatever you have done and let us all appreciate it?
I personally really eager to see some work done by multimedia students.
I'll be waiting to see some real graphics,
    cheers.

    sunlight effect?
hmm...do u mean u just want to make the lighting looked like sun light?
or you want to do a lens flare effect like mine?

normally u can do a sunlight effect by using skylight... the result is quite nice but 1 thing that have to keep in mind that usually when u are using skylight, ur 3D will take a very long time to render due to the lighting effect area which is very big...and there is no way u can adjust it (too bad)..
but another thing that u can do is creating a number of omni lights, just like mine...it renders faster and the effect is as nice as skylight...it is just depends on how u place them^^..and it takes a lot of time to place them ^^|||
target spot can be used as well if u can do make a sunlight effect within a room (indoor in another word) HAHAH

i wanna to see ur 3D work, sunny...mind to upload it here...
