in my assignment, i am required to use vector instead of array to store the information about my input file stream...

Declaration (e.g int):
int anArray[5]; //array
vector aVector; //vector

Value Assignment:
//for Array
anArray[0] = 10;
anArray[1] = 20;
//for vector
aVector.push_back(10);
aVactor.push_back(20);

Value Access for Print in screen (basically is the same):
cout << anArray[0]; //for array
cout << aVector[0] //for vector


those are simple theory about vector compare with array...
